I work predominantly with people from the business world, either working in corporate or business situations or they have their own business.  These people come from all walks of business and have included holistic wellness practitioners, hairdressers, roofing contractors, cleaning companies, fashions designers, online businesses, wineries, office supplies, retailers, cafe owners and artists.  The people from corporate range from accounts clerks right through to high executive levels and they generally work in high turnover, high demand and highly stressful situations.  In most instances they are seeking inner peace and harmony and a way to deal with the day to day “stuff” but also to find that deep connection with self that is sometimes lacking in the fast and disconnected world of commerce.

A couple of non-commercial people have snuck under the radar and interestingly after doing Reiki with me, several went out and set up their own small business to do what they love.  My classes have also included two prison guards and a policeman all working in highly stressful areas.

Before becoming a corporate refugee, I contracted in many stressful situations for too many years and understand the rigors, stress and demands of a harsh corporate environment. I now run my own small business that helps natural therapists to grow their business.

I teach in a very grounded way and bring a lot of practical, common sense wisdom into the workshops. You will notice an extreme LACK of flowing white gowns, flowers in the hair and airy fairy “pixie dust” in my workshops. Many different types of people teach Reiki and its about you finding the right person to learn with.  If you are seeking a more esoteric type teacher, you may wish to check out one of the Reiki Associations for more information.

But if you are looking for someone very normal and very grounded, then you are in the right place. I teach traditionally and pass the information I have gained with great love, respect and joy. I have been using Reiki in my own life for many years now and it has taken me places I never dreamed I would go.

You see, ten years ago I was very lost.

I was a little lost girl sitting on a meditation stool with no idea where to go or what to do. Although outwardly successful I was dead inside.

I was stuck in the corporate world doing a horrible job that I hated whilst all the time there was a little voice inside of me saying “there’s more for you”. Trouble is I had no idea what “the more” was, apart from the fact that I wanted to work positively with people. It was an incredibly uncomfortable time for me.

Now through my own company Abundant Private Practices, I do work positively with people. I help natural therapists grow their business and be more successful in their business and personal life. It is fair to say every day is positive and I have met some amazing people on the way.

When I first learnt Reiki I had no idea what it was or what it would do for me. It was a complete leap of faith.

I saw a poster on my gym wall and I just knew I had to do the class although I had no idea what it entailed. Its fair to say that Level I workshop changed my life.

Either way I can help you learn Reiki. There are many sites that will tell you what Reiki is. Mine isn’t a site that goes into great depth or attempts to explain every step of the way. I simply teach the Usui Reiki Method, with love, in the manner in which I have been taught, which is traditionally over several days.

I only work with people who are drawn to the energy and are like I was – prepared to take the leap of faith. I have attempted to answer most of the commonly asked logistical questions here and I welcome any other questions you might have.
